Continental Sport Attack

Continental Sport Attack Tires Street legal race tire: translates the race performance to the road Continental Sport Attack Tires feature continuous Compound-Technologie: Makes it possible to use an homogeneous grip grading with a single compound thanks to a temperature controlled curing of the tyre during the production process * Shoulder area, flexible = Grip * Zenith area, wear resistant = Mileage * Continuous transition Precise handling with an increased footprint at extreme lean angles for more grip in corners thanks to a grip enhancing front tyre profile 0°-steel belt construction on the front and rear for higher stability and feedback when braking and accelerating out of corners Innovative tread pattern adapted from the Attack-family with a progressive growing slick area in the shoulder for more control and grip

Sportmax Sportsmart

Imagine you’ve just been given the chance to design your own sports tyre. What features would it have? Race-quality grip? Wet-roads predictability? Touring mileage? How about all three features in one tyre? That’s exactly what Dunlop has achieved in its dynamic new SportSmart.

Multi-Tread gives you high mileage and the confidence to push your bike on wet or dry roads, while Dunlop’s unique NTEC system lets you fine-tune the SportSmart’s inflation pressure for totally connected track day performance. For supersport and hypersport riders, the SportSmart is quite simply the tyre you’d design for yourself.

Metzeler Sporttec M5

New Sportec M5 Interact™

Sportec M5 Interact™ is the most highly engineered Supersport tyre destined for demanding riders who face all riding conditions and demand the best performance. The new M5 features the Interact Technology in a 5 zones tension to offer the best enjoyment and duration for naked and supersport bike riders. In every weather, on every road, this is perfect all-round supersport tyre.

New "Pi"-inspired Tread Pattern

It's a perfect circle, thus incorporates the mathematical Greek symbol "Pi", a component to the formula of a circle’s circumference.

The tread pattern of the new Sportec M5 Interact ™ is the result of an extensive series of tests to achieve high effectiveness in dry (stability) and wet (drainage) conditions, but also provides an increased life for the tyre. The registered design of the Sportec M5 Interact™ tyre tread resembles the Greek letter "Pi".

The shape and distribution the tread grooves contributes to the overall performance of the Sportec M5 Interact™ with very effective water drainage as well as a superb flexibility. This increased flexibility complements the Interact™-based tyre structure in maintaining an optimized contact area to avoid slippage which positively affects wear uniformity and thus mileage.

Structure: INTERACT technology

Metzeler engineers answered the most diverse requirements of the supersport segment with a new stage of development on the tensions of the tyre’s steel-belt: The new Sportec M5 Interact™ boasts five well-defined zones over the entire contour of the tyre, achieving always the best grip lean for each angle, stability and constant feedback.

Interact™ technology is a precise tuning of the high-tech steel belt winding tensions combined with a perfectly matched carcass, without the discontinuity experienced by alternative multi-compound products.

With this new structure, Metzeler engineers also succeeded in optimising the total area of the tyre footprint at every lean angle with up to an 8% increase, while improving also its shape and pressure distribution. This success is felt in every situation: with an increased stability in a straight line, better contact feel at the central part of the curve and safe grip at full lean.

High Silica Mixture Compounds

The two newly developed tread compounds of the Sportec M5, unique between front and rear, seamlessly partner with the Interact™ structure. Derived from a completely new mixing procedure and produced with a larger percentage of silica, they bring top-of-segment adhesion on dry land as well as uncompromising confidence in wet conditions, still keeping a rapid warm-up time for a maximum supersport grip level right from the first pull of the throttle.

Lean Indicator

An additional motorcycle tyre first comes from the Sportec M5’s new lean indicator which offers riders visual confirmation of the maximum level of the tyre’s usage: riders can verify which of the 5-stage markings were contacted while riding. The five lean indicator markings are placed on the shoulder of the rear tyre where the profile meets the road surface at angles of approximately 25°, 30°, 35°, 40° and 45° (depending on vehicle weight and tyre pressure).

Battlax BT-003 Racing "Street" motorcycle tyre

Battlax BT-003RS, a racing street tyre seen for the first time at the INTERMOT 2008 in Cologne. It is designed to provide outstanding street and track day performance for all sporty motorcycles from 250cc on, with the chance to enjoy the exciting grip performance of Bridgestone’s MotoGP multi-layer compound technology.
Compared to the BT-002RS it will progressively replace, the new BT-003RS provides total handling improvement in all riding modes – with noticeably better contact feel, feedback, stability and grip – as well as longer wear life
Maximum grip from MotoGP compound technology
Bridgestone has combined its top MotoGP construction technology with its latest multi-compound technology from SACT (Straight And Cornering Technology) to produce a sport tyre that gives high-level grip performance in braking, cornering and acceleration.
The BT-003RS front tyre has a new 3-Layer Compound (3LC): a centre compound for linear handling and longer wear life, flanked by a shoulder compound to secure high grip and a strong contact feeling.
The rear BT-003RS tyre features Bridgestone’s new 5-Layer Compound (5LC) technology, used for the BT-016 advanced hypersport tyre launched this year. The centre compound gives good stability and higher mileage; the shoulder compound transfers the engine power to the road with strong traction; while the edge compound provides strong side grip and a massive contact feeling at deep lean angles. The line holding feels almost like riding on a rail.

Front and rear construction is based on Bridgestone’s proven HTSPC platform (High Tensile Super Penetrated Cord) with steel MSB (Mono Spiral Belt). This one-piece construction enhances slide controllability and line-holding through corners, while providing good shock absorption. The increased compression stiffness it produces helps to maintain a uniform contact patch and stability at high speeds.
Noticeable S-shaped grooves in the centre tread area (for both front and rear) provide outstanding contact feel and precise cornering ability. Also, wide lug grooves placed from the centre to the shoulder tread area enhance drainage and wet performance for practical road use.

Motorcyclists in Europe will find Battlax BT-003RS available in the replacement market in 3 front-wheel sizes and 6 rear-wheel sizes from early 2009
